Organizational Resources

Old Southwest, Inc. is an IRS 501(c)(3), non-profit neighborhood organization, dedicated to the preservation and ongoing rehabilitation and promotion of the Old Southwest Roanoke, Residential Historic District. For over three decades, members of our all-volunteer organization have stepped up to help serve the greater community and ensure that the neighborhood remains one of Roanoke's treasures.

As a public charity, we rely on the generosity of neighborhood residents, friends, and public fundraising, as well as private and government grants, to support the many efforts and activities that Old Southwest spearheads. The organization is lead by a Board of Directors. Each of our 11 Board Members are residents of the Old Southwest neighborhood. In addition to the Board, the organization operates through several "working committees", each of which is tasked with a specific area of operation within the neighborhood.
